The Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources are working together with planning partners, residents and stakeholders in collaborative watershed planning for the Salt River watersheds.

The Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments is partnering with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to form a Watershed Advisory Committee for the North Fork Salt River Watershed. The watershed includes parts of six counties and serves as the source of water for the Clarence Cannon Wholesale Water Commission, which provides drinking water to over 74,000 people in northeast Missouri.
